I went to probably the most boring garage sale the other wee with my dad. I mean it there were a whole bunch of signs all over the neighborhood and there was even an ad in the paper for it and so I thought to myself it must be one heck of a garage sale but to my surprise it was not. When we got there it seemed like they only had watercolor paintings for sale and a couple of old movies that were in a box. I could not believe it. I even thought that maybe we had missed the good sale or were at the wrong house or something because that garage sale sucked big time.

There are a vast varieties of the world of Drums. I have always a good fan of the different type of drums using worldwide in different communities and cultures. I know a drum called as doumbek, a very funny, little beautiful drum of ancient culture. This drum is an essential part of the middle eastern cultural dances, like belly dancing. The shape and size of doumbek drum are really a funny and interesting one can consider. I have bought one doumbek drum for my school children. When they saw such a unique piece, they exited and starts dancing. I have given them a brief history of the doumbek and about the peoples who used this drum in their cultural programmes and dances. The students become so much interested about the doumbek history. I have donated them this drum. A good drum for experienced and new percussionist.
